Bilingual therapy
Online CBT in Greek and English
Therapy can feel different in the language in which an experience was lived, a family relationship was formed or an emotion first found its name. Angeliki offers online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in both Greek and English, and you can enquire in either language.
Why language can matter in therapy
- Some thoughts and feelings are easier to express in a first language; others belong more naturally to the language of everyday life now.
- Moving between languages can reveal differences in tone, meaning, identity and emotional distance.
- Shared understanding of Greek words or cultural references can reduce the work of translating an experience before exploring it.
- Bilingual therapy can make room for complexity without assuming that language or cultural background explains everything.
The same thoughtful CBT, in either language
The clinical approach remains collaborative and evidence-based in Greek or English. Together, we develop a shared understanding of what is maintaining the difficulty, agree meaningful goals and test practical changes between sessions.
You do not have to choose one language permanently. If it is clinically useful and feels natural, we can discuss moving between Greek and English. Fluency is only one part of fit, so the initial assessment also considers your needs, location, safety and whether online CBT is appropriate.
